  1. Contrasting your lion photo with the wolf, it makes you wonder why people were so afraid of the big bad wolf in olden times. Heck, it's just a dog without a collar. Of course, if I had livestock as they did back then, I might think otherwise.

  2. Boonie, Wonder if the wolf was more visible as typically a pack hunter compared to stealth hunting of the mountain lion. Additionally our European ancestors did not have lions so the only "scapegoat" available for stories and folklore was the big bad wolf. Just a thought.
